For our Dad's birthday, Father's Day and Christmas presents for the next few years we treated them to a Rockies game in Denver. We had a wonderful time check it out...
at the Green Russell on Latimer Square. This is one of our new favorite places. It has a speakeasy flair with crafted libations.
next we took a bike surrey to Coor's Field. This man peddled all four of us to the stadium.
no fringe on top though
Welcome to Coor's Field
We bought our tickets off of Craig's List. These tickets were unbelievable.
Afterwards was a fireworks celebration.
The next day Art and Brent took Quinn golfing and afterwards we had a cookie cake for Papa Art's birthday. Here are my helpers in the kitchen.
Following the cookie was the 2nd annual Art Show. Ava and Quinn worked hard all day setting up for it- they even had a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Brent and Tim Reckseen started their latest hobby
For Father's Day this year we bought the husbands a 1/2 day rock climbing class (thanks Tif for the idea). They LOVED it! They now want us to go along. Here are some pictures from the day...
Next time they need to wear different colored shirts so they don't look like twins.

Hiking near Pike's Peak
This was by far the most technical climb we have done so far. Lots of rocks to climb, ascended 2, 000 feet. The kids did great no complaining.
Afterwards we found a bar and had a drink and some snacks. A well deserved treat for the kids and me.
Baker does his Captain Huggyface impression
so for those of you who do not have small children, Capt Huggyface is from the PBS show WordGirl. The Capt would be a monkey in a diaper that switches to a side kick.

Camping at Spruce Grove Campground
We lucked out on this campsite. Nice big space, big enough for our huge tent. Some trees on the site for cover. And the best part is that we are 3 feet from a running stream. Everyone did a great job. The temperature got down to 44 degrees. Everyone slept the whole night.
this is an aerial view of our camp site.
