Rink at the Rock

Castle Rock now has its own ice skating rink. Complete with a Zamboni. Everyone had a great time ice skating even Baker when Daddy held him. The "little" girl with Quinn is his friend Anna. She is almost a head taller than him but they are great buddies.

Baker's 3rd birthday

Baby Boy Bake is now three years old. We had a great time celebrating throughout the week. We had birthday doughnuts with is BFFs Cadhan and Leighton.

And he blow out birthday candles at the Reckseen's on Thanksgiving night.

The actual birthday we had the Rusovick's over for more pumpkin pie and birthday candles.

Thanksgiving with the Reckseen's 2012

This year we give thanks to the whole Reckseen family for being so generous and inviting us to Thanksgiving dinner. We had games, great food and plenty of fun.

I am so proud of my pumpkin pies this year...

Tif made this awesome relish tray turkey there was hardly any left.
Boat races: the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria (well and an extra) had a race across the floor with balloons as their sails.
The kids had a scavenger hunt in the backyard for feathers and then used them to make headbands.
We ended the night with a game of Royal rummy. Ava and Tif won.

2012 Castle Rock Starlighting

The 77th Castle Rock Starlighting was exceptional this year. First off, the weather was beautiful in the high 60s. And there was fireworks! The 4th of July fireworks were cancelled due to the drought so they reserved them for November. They were wonderful. Baker enjoyed them the most. I think they were the first he has ever seen. Normally he is asleep by the time they light them off in Breckenridge. And he was asleep when we saw them on Mickey's Dream Ship. Our LA friends Chad, Debbie, Alexis and Austin joined us. It was their first time.

Ava gets a taste for politics

This election year Ava has campaigned for Gov. Mitt Romney. She has told all of her friends, neighbors and family members why they should not vote for Pres. Obama. She can list of seven things. Since she had such an interest Brent took her to the Fairgrounds when Romney's running mate, Wisconsin boy Paul Ryan came to visit. Dressed in her new sweater dress with her portfolio to take notes. Who is this child?

She was a bit disappointed by the outcome but very mature about it. Her quote was "well, we only have to put up with him for 4 more years."

Afterwards she made this campaign ad for her stuffed animal Teeny Tiny Bunny. I did little to help her with it. We sent it to her teacher Mrs. Ramirez who show it to the class. Watch out Kimmy Ava is right behind you.
