Spring Break and Easter 2013

Holy Moly!!! two weeks off of school for these kids. We kept them busy.  Katie and I took all six kids to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We lost $20 and Baker on the escalator but found them both. They have updated the KidZone with this really cool PVC piping and magnets. Also Quinn and Baker's favorites are the cross section pieces of wood to create with dinosaurs.

Next was a trip to the movie theater for Cadhan's birthday. We saw The Crood's very cute movie.

This activity was inspired by Charlie and Lola. It is called Our Town. I put down huge sheets of paper and the kids decorated a town of their own on it. Quinn also used legos to add buildings and bridges.

Easter was in the middle of the break. We spent the day with the Brooks Family. Had a lovely brunch and kids played with water balloons and squirt guns since it was so warm. We had egg races in the backyard too.

at Visual Therapy this is what the boys do. Make space ships with these discs. Awesome activities.
on to Kansas. Our stopping point on our way to Oklahoma City to see the Huckaby's.
We saw a lot of very educational and great things. The first night we spent in Marty's Barn. Marty is one of Brent's sales reps that was nice enough to let us stay in his barn. This is not ordinary barn.

While Brent worked I took the kids to the Hays Nature Museum. This was a fun little museum. The dinosaurs were set up on sensors so if you walked by them they would roar at you. Baker was scared out of his mind saying. No eat me!!!

Brent and Quinn in front of the largest ball of Twine.
This is the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS. This is a wonderful museum that is devoted to the Space Program. We had a great time here.

Before taking off for Oklahoma City we spent the morning in the pool. Baker got to try out his new floating named Froggie. Quinn spent more time in the hot tub then the pool this time.

Finally at the Huckaby's. We took a boat ride on the downtown riverwalk.

Forbes the dog is catching the bubbles that the kids are blowing.

Quinn and Baker made a replica of the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. This really made an impact on both kids.
