Quinn's First Holy Communion

May 3, 2014

Quinn makes his First Holy Communion.

Quinn practices taking the Eucharist from his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Pawlowski.

This is the picture we used for his invitation
waiting for his big moment with his buddies

with Nanee Lu and Papa Todd
and Nanee Sylvia and Papa Art (same smile)

Father Travis came to Quinn's party afterwards.
saying a prayer with St. Maria Goretti

after such a wonderful day, Quinn falls asleep on the couch. It was a long week for all of us considering our moving truck came the Monday before the party.

Welcome Home Stauffacher's!

We closed on our new home in Zionsville on April 25, 2014

It was an uneventful closing-just the kind you want to have. So boring that Baker slept through the whole thing.

We picked the kids up from school and headed straight for the house.

Brent carried his bride over the threshold. Kids did not get this at all.
These cookies are from our realtor, Arlene. There were a big hit at our house.

Eating our first meal in our new house. Thanks Alison for the fantastic dinner including water, plates and silverware.

April 2014

Weekend in Chicago over Spring Break. It's been a long time. We went to the Field Museum, ate at Giorganio's spent the night in a downtown hotel.
Having a picnic in our new house...
Baker fell asleep while watching a show on the iPad. Naps have gone to the way side.

 Early morning before school...
Quinn received his first award at SMG
Ava receives her award from Mr. Barnes
The other part of Spring Break. The Stauffacher's and the Mueller's packed up all 6 kids and drove to Northern Indiana to spend a night at Poppy Weddige's house in the Dunes.
Playing on the hammock, zip lining and running around on the Beach at the Dunes

Baker and his friend Jacey are at swim lessons at the Monon. Baker loved it, Jacey not so much. It was like a private lesson since most of the kids would not get in the water.

The Easter bunny found his way to the apartment and left his dirty footprints all over the apartment.

Spring Break 2014 Part I

For part of our Spring Break we went to Springfield to see the Madiar's new house. Here is Greta Goose telling me about all about her days at school.

Jen and I took Ava and Audrey to see the 5K Lincoln Run. We got a nice picture of Lincoln running.

Next was the Lincoln Museum. Wonderful Museum, so many special effects and great artifacts.

Wax replica of John Wilkes Booth...
Jack and Quinn playing games together.

Five of the six outside the State Capital Building

Uncle Eric's new nickname is Lord Bacon...

Spring Break 2014 Part II

Our friends the Weddige's asked up to spend the night at they grandpa's house. Poppy was so kind to let us take over his house at the sand dunes. Lisa Mueller and I packed up the six kids and headed north.
The best part of Poppy's house is the zip line. The kids road this over and over again.

On the shores of Lake Michigan...
